Back in Cavaillon Again 3 May 2009

We arrived back in Cavaillon around 3.30 pm. It was sunny and hot and the kids got changed and jumped straight into the pool. Ahh bliss. It's good to be home. The kids are always happy to come home. They go in their bedroom and look at all their toys and things and it's like everything is new again - even after only two weeks.
The house felt cold inside and a bit pongy after being locked up and I have a mountain of washing to do. There's no food in the fridge and I couldn't be bothered going to the supermarché but happy day, I found some salmon and prawns left in the freezer and I can make a spaghetti marinara. Tomorrow there'll be a market on somewhere and we'll get some fresh fruit and vege.
The kids are in shorts and singlets this afternoon for the first time in months and months. Ella is trying on all her summer clothes that she'd forgotten she had. She's so happy about it.
Our rose bushes are in bloom. When we left they had a few buds and now they are covered in roses and have the most beautiful scent. As you walk up the path the scent of the roses rises up to meet you. The grapevines along the wall in the carport are also covered in leaves and they were just dead looking sticks a couple of weeks ago.
