Agde is a town on the coast and very touristy. Kind of Gold Coast meets the medieval ages. There’s lots of ice cream shops and drink stalls along the beach and a pool play area called Captain Jako’s which has water slides and stuff for the kids. The admission for the pool was 9 euros for one child. We didn’t go there.
We decided to stop here because of the beach, something for the kids. They love playing on the beach. It was so hot but the water is still freezing (apparently). I haven’t actually been in the water anywhere yet.
The sun safe message and the smoking/lung cancer message doesn’t seem to have penetrated France. I can’t believe the number of people smoking everywhere.
The beach at Agde is clothed but there are some people quite happily walking around topless and nobody bats an eyelid. How nice it would be to be so relaxed. None of the kids wear swim shirts or hats. Samuel and Ella must look quite conspicuous in their swimming attire.
