Carpentras

Last Friday we visited Carpentras sans children. The markets were on in the town. I love getting lost walking around markets up and down looking at all the local produce. This was the first market we’ve been to that had secondhand clothing for sale. Andrew just loves me looking at secondhand stuff. He’s terrified I might buy something. I was looking at the winter coats and he noticed one which had someone’s hair on it. It was selling for €10 and Andrew said it would probably cost €25 to have it cleaned. Oh well, didn’t get it.

The markets are very social. Everyone gets out and about and chats to each other. Gee it would be great if we could converse in French with someone. Sigh…

We also found a Fujifilm camera shop and bought a new battery for the digital camera (€49) but it hasn’t solved the problem. The camera works for 5 minutes and then konks out. Very frustrating!
